Well you sound like someone who spent years to learn C.
And now is pissed that someone learned within some weeks to do the same things in Labview!!
Ofcourse C has some advantages ( speed for one thing )
but if you just want to write a little prog to test your new lab project Labview is a great thing!
And by the way, I have read Kernighan and Ritchie, I have even writen my own publications on C!

In the real world there are no 'little' projects. I didn't spend tears
learning C, I spent weeks. The rest of the time was simply using it.

As I've said, my real complaint is about the way NI is sidelining CVI in
favour of Labview. It used to be true that there was nothing that you could
do in one that the other couldn't achieve. But the corporate might forcing
Labview through is dragging CVI into the dark ages. We havent got an MP3
player! As the licences get tightened you'll see what I mean.
