LabView communication with Direct PLCs?

Can LabView be used to program Automation Direct PLCs (particularly DL-205)?

Hi Derek,

LabVIEW cannot be used per-se to program the DL-205. However, LabVIEW (along with the DSC module) can be used to "monitor" the DL-205 PLC. In other words, you can read and write to all the IO in the PLC, but not program the PLC itself.

Just a reminder: as I said, you will need the DSC (Datalogging and Supervisory Control) Module on top of your LabVIEW for this. Actually, the DSC Module has a suite of drivers for third-party PLCs and Controllers. And DirectLogic is supported.
