After trying everything from the other similar thread, nothing has worked.
I installed a trial version of labVIEW professional before I found out about the CE edition, so at one point I had both. I thought the pro edition was interfering, so I uninstalled everything and reinstalled CE again (everything from the same, brand new, account). I'm on Windows 10.
This is what I see:
I can right-click LVCE and click activate, and that menu just says there was no activation code with my account:
I tried doing an activation code submission form, but I don't have a serial number because I have no network license. I think I still have conflicting versions, or something, on my system, but that doesn't explain why I can't get this one program to activate, and I've spent a lot of time going back and forth and being confused. What can I try next?
And My Products shows nothing:
I just noticed something from your picture (and my account). Notice how your toolkits are LV 2020, not LV 2020 SP1? I'm wondering if that's holding up the install? I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be LV 2020 SP1.

I am having the same issue. I am not running any 'ad blockers' so I have none to disable - at least none that I know of. I've been trying for 2 days to get it to install - which takes a couple hours each time - and all I can get is 'trial' versions of the regular software. Has anyone found a real solution yet?

I consider myself lucky that the solutions here worked for me. I had trouble with the beta, 2020, and then 2020 SP1. All of them required different steps to remedy. For a licensing model that was supposed to make it easier to install and activate, it's been anything but...

I only just learned about CE and got all excited, but my parade has been thoroughly rained on.
First I tried installing on my Linux (Manjaro) laptop. No good no matter what I disable, what browser I use, or what computer in my house I download the installer from. I even tried activating by using my phone as a wireless hotspot, and nothing works. I log in to activate, it spins for a few seconds, then the browser says activated while the dialog window says activation failed.
I also tried installing the Windows version on my desktop only to get told no licenses are associated with my account, despite using my work account that has multiple licenses associated with it.
Then I tried on Linux again with a new account. Still no good.
I even tried submitting a service request, and no answer after 2 business days. Is it because they have no idea what's going on either?

Are you sure you are activating on the same account that you downloaded it on?

Definitely. Multiple, multiple times. And both accounts.
And my bad, I actually did get a response to my service request at the end of the day yesterday after I had already left work, but I hadn't checked my work email since. It seems it's something they know about, and they suspect it's the login process that's not working right. I'll update with the results.

I tried what you suggested further down this thread, and re-downloaded the ISO file with my 'non-professional' login. I was a bit surprised that it was indeed a different file this time. So, I tried to install this version, and it ran for quite some time before giving me the BS 'check your internet connection' error. I spent an inordinate amount of time on that one already, only to figure out (?) that I need to disable my [windows] firewall; which was disabled this time so I guess I still do not understand that error. In any case, I re-ran NI License manager, right-clicked on 'community edition', clicked 'activate', and it worked (for a 1 year activation at least). I am unsure if the errored-out install from today updated the license situation in the background, or if I just never checked that before. Nonetheless, it seems to be OK now. For the next year anyways.

Hey, thanks for posting back with the update. I feel it's super-important that we all post what finally worked, as well as what didn't.
THANKS!

I'm going to re-post what did and didn't work.
What didn't work.
What did work.
I'll be glad to go into more detail if anybody is interested.
I'm using Windows 10 Pro.
Thanks.

What didn't work.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling CE.
- Adding new NI account.
- New NI account on different computer with a different user on the same LAN.
- Pretty much everything else that was suggested except uninstalling and reinstalling Windows.
What did work.
- Installing and activating with my account on a different computer on a different LAN and different modem.
- Finally putting my computer on a different LAN with the same ISP with a different modem. Billko said "While I believe that what you are going to do amounts to killing the fly with a shotgun". While I somewhat agree, it was a lot less painful than uninstalling and reinstalling Windows which didn't work for some people.

Any idea what exactly it may have been that made it work? If it's something to do with the connection, which part of the process do you think it made a difference in? The downloading of the installer, or the activation process? Or both? I tried using my phone as a wifi hotspot as an alternate network connection because I don't really have any other networks to use right now, but it didn't make a difference, at least for activation. I didn't try downloading over it, nor do I want to.
