LabVIEW Crash -memory.cpp,allocsup.cpp -reg

Hi

i am trying to convert the fixed 2D array of cluster of 55 elements to Variant type in the attached VI. LabVIEW crashed each time if i try to save the VI or close the VI.  If i try to save the source data as same type without any conversion, it is not at all storing.

Herewith I attached the VI and lv failure log for reference,

Kindly help me to solve this issue.

Hi Karthik,

I was able to reproduce this issue in LabVIEW 7.1, and have added this information to an existing Correcting Action Request which will be reviewed by National Instruments' R&D department.  However, I cannot guarantee if and when the issue will be fixed.

The good news is that I did test this on LabVIEW 8, and the VI works as expected, with no errors, so an upgrade could be the solution for this case.

Thanx for your timely help. Right now i cant afford for upgrade. i cant wait more time also. If there is any other better solution, Kindly inform me.
My end user strictly wants his program in 7.1. So no way for me.

Expecting guidelines ASAP !!

Dear Karthik,

Unfortunately, I cannot offer you any workaround for this issue.  It is possible that a change in the VI may result in avoiding this error, however, I cannot tell you how to change it such that it will work.

Again, I have notified our R&D department, and can assure you the problem will be investigated.

Plz find the attachement. Your problem is rectied. But i could not explain how it works in my VI. Because of Complex data structure, Avoid the File read and file write sub VIs in the Program. Make Single VI without any SubVI. It works fine.
