LabVIEW Community Edition

My understanding is that no SSP will be needed for the beta. However a beta is typically not the greatest for a new user to learn because they may not be able to tell a bug from a misunderstanding on their part. Also, the help is typically stale and will be one of the last things to be updated before the release. Still, betas are typically quite stable and I see no real problem for a smart home user to jump into the deep end and get a head start before the community edition is released to the masses. 😄

doesn't the beta program require an active SSP?

If I'm not mistaken, the SN/SSP is a non-required field when applying for the Technology Preview program. Even though the strong language suggests differently.

Has anyone actually gotten accepted into the beta program?  I'm stuck at "pending..."

This is the email I received-

You have been approved as a member of the National Instruments LabVIEW Community Beta Program, but I don't think LCE is available yet to try.

The email I received looks like this:

The email points towards https://www.ni.com/support/beta-program/, where I can see a link to the community beta:

That page contains a link to the installer download, and another one to the beta forum (that link doesn't work yet, it goes to the community welcome page).

I guess they're knee-deep in applications.

I've been sitting at "pending" since last week.  I've tried contacting NI through labview.community.beta@ni.com several times, with no response.  I don't know what else to do.  Anyone have any ideas?

Have you called tech support?
Did you try rebooting?
Have you upgraded to the latest version of DAQmx?
Try uninstalling and reinstalling all the drivers. No, all of them. In the reverse order you installed them.

Is your monitor on?

😉

"I don't know" is a valid and respectable answer.
