LabVIEW 2017 FPGA: The Compile Worker Cannot Perform the Compilation

Hello everyone,

I have a issue with FPGA compilation. My Labview is installed on Windows10 and Vivado 2015.4 is installed. But the I got the following error message after the compilation is started:

Capture1.PNG

After a while, another error message shown as below:

Capture2.PNG

I've tried to compile using the cloud and it worked. But the local server didn't work. Any idea please?

Regards,

Xiao

Simple answer: you have installed Vivado2015.4, but the compilation expects/needs Xilinx14.7!

Solution: As Xilinx14.7 is NOT supported on Win10 you  can use the cloud compile server from NI…

Hi GerdW,

Many thanks for your quick reply.

You are right. The compilation seems to expect Xilinx 14.7. But I have another PC which installed exactly same Labview and compilation tool (and also all the updates). And surprisingly it can successfully compile locally! Cannot think of anything difference between these two PCs.

Hi Xiao,

your second images suggests to install Xilinx14.7. Did you try this?

Xilinx14.7 is used for some older cRIO targets (like the 907x line). As we use more recent 906x devices nowadays we decided to not install Xilinx14.7 locally on our development computers, but use the compile cloud when we need to update some older software for those old 907x targets…

Best regards,
GerdW
