LabVIEW 2012 runs processor up

When LabVIEW 2012 is open but idle it runs the processor up over 25%.  This happens if getting started screen is up, just a project window or if a VI or exe are in event structure wait mode.

Sorry, don't see this.

Is LV up to date in terms of patches?

What OS?

What toolboxes are installed?

Other versions installed?

Is the drive light flashing during this time?

Does it ever eventually stop?

Is your IT trying to run a scan on the LabVIEW application because they don't know what LabVIEW is?  I have that problem sometimes.  I usually don't see my CPU going at 25% with just the welcome screen.  But I often have to wait 30 seconds when I save my VIs due to our IT running scans.

I am up to date on patches to my knowledge, LV 12.0f3.  Running Windows 7 sp1, most toolkits and modules including RT, FPGA, Robotics, etc.  Drive light is not on consistantly during this time and I also have LV 2011, 2010 installed.  Our network is very familiar with LabVIEW so I don't believe it could be a service.

Given enough time (like overnight) does it ever stop?
Are the other version behaving themselves?

Haven't had time to test longer than ~2 hours.  All other versions work normally.

I have seen this myself on a few computers if you leave the main start page running for long periods of time. The application appears to take up 100% of one core of the CPU. Also, it goes away as soon as you navigate away from the main start page.

For me, this has happened with:

LabVIEW 2012, Windows 7, Intel Xeon w3530

LabVIEW 2012, Windows 7, Intel Core 2 Duo T8400

LabVIEW 2012, Windows 8, Intel Core i7 2600k

I will see if I can gather more information and document this officially on Monday, if you have any more information I would love to know!
