LabVIEW 2011 breaks LabVIEW 8.5

I un-installed both LabVIEW 2011 and 8.5.  Then, I re-installed 8.5.  The same "nip2p.dll is missing" error occured.  I deleted all dll starting with the prefix "ni" in the folder system32, but that didn't fix the problem.  Any thoughts on that?

We generally do not recommend manually deleting dll files, but the solution mentioned earlier outlined a reinstall of LabVIEW 8.5.1 and (older) DAQmx after doing so. Did you try this step as well?

Yes, I did.  I removed all NI software from my laptop, and I re-installed LabVIEW 8.5 and (older) DAQmx.  I actually installed 8.5 and not 8.5.1.

The "msiblast" thingy mentioned above should fix up registration.

It looks like the dll is still registered. Try that to cover the steps outlined above.
