LabVEIW FULL version and polymorphic VIs

Hi, I can seem to create polymorphic VIs with the Full version of LabVIEW (8.5), I thought that the professional version was required. Has this changed?

Not according to the LabVIEW Help. Maybe you got the Professional by accident/luck?

I only have pro, so I cannot check myself. Is it possible that you are still in eval mode?

Hi,

I have confirmed that I have the "Full development system" in the About window. The Getting started window reads "Licensed for full version". And I'm not in any sort of evaluation mode. I can't build applications (no app builder). Maybe there are some limitations on polymorphic VIs when developing under the full version, I have not used the VIs I created properly yet - but they seem to run without error.

I agree that the LabVIEW help for 8.5 does state that "You can build polymorphic VIs only in the LabVIEW Professional Development System".

With the release of LV 8.6 this line has been removed from the 'Building Polymorphic VIs' help page which implies this functionality is now available in the FDS. I don't know how this can effect your 8.5 activation but I can look into it in more detail if you like??!

Can you confirm the full polymorphic VI functionality is available in the full development system from version 8.6 and onwards?
