LV

Hello,

Our ATE PC had a hard-drive failure and had to be replaced. Re-installed Windows XP and tried to load up my library, it loads up around 490 VIs and this error message pops up (see attachment)then LabView shuts down completely. i can run labview fine and the executable will load up too but won't run. I managed to re-install the original drivers and software (correct versions) but still it doesn't work. I think IT guys installed a new Windows XP with a new serial number. another problem im facing is that i cannot update LV from 7.1 to 7.1.1 get another update failed message suggesting that i should re-install sw and try again. Done that but no joy.

could you please help me?

well, we tried both; the network and C drive. i just managed to sort it all out yesterday. re-installed windows again for the 3rd time and the order or installing NI compnents and data generators mattered.

thanks for your response.

You do not need to install Windows. There is a procedure for a clean uninstall using msiblast. Here is  a post with the links to msiblast and a document for the procedure.
