I'm trying to work out how to check if a VI is running using the execution state property of a VI which gives a numeric output but there isn't a reference key for what the outputed number means does anyone know what the numbers mean or an alternate way to check if the VI is running and/or open.

It is not a simple Numeric, it is an Enum.
