That's the first time I've ever heard the arduino described as costly.;-)

I think i will  get the pico lcd usb should be the easiest solution, i just open every time i change the state in the statemachine a script  with the system exe,vi and sent the text to the lcd. The lcd offers a driver and really easy calls to do this.

But the adruino would be the nicest solution but i have no experience with the aduruino, could i also sent reall time informations from labview to adruino and display it?
