Does National Instruments plan to release an updated Math Interface Toolkit that is compatible with Matlab 2009+? I can't imagine they expect users to retain Matlab 2008b for perpituity.

Bueller?..... Any word on this NI? Soon there will be 4 versions of Matlab (09/10ab) for which the Math Interface Toolkit is incompatible. We're developing applications in the current Matlab versions and need to link to our NI devices and MIT-compiled VIs.

Jo Jo,

Currently, we don't have any plans to update the Math Interface Toolkit to be compatible with versions of MATLAB 2009 or later.  In fact, we are in the process of eliminating the Math Interface Toolkit from our product offering. There will be public communication to this effect with further details in the near future.

Respectfully,

Jeffrey, after you eliminate this utility how do you expect Matlab users to control NI-DAQ cards?

I suspect we will fall back on the excellent, but ultimately limited Data Acquisition ToolBox from Mathworks.

We who use the MIT should gather and exchange ideas about how to work around this.

This is certainly dissapointing news. It is clear that many users employ the Math Interface Toolkit to utilize their native Matlab applications with the NI devices.

Unfortunately, The MathWorks' Data Acquisition Toolbox does not support many of the advanced devices like the 9237.

Without a solution for the future, it will be a lot easier for our company to transition to a more Matlab-compatible hardware vendor than to transition our engineers to a wholesale LabView environment.
