L*a*b* color : Problem with the Luminance value

This is an issue with IMAQ vision :
In the Lab color system, the L component should range from 0 to 100, while the IMAQ RGBToColor vi yields values in the range 0-255.
Not a big issue, but still annoying...

Ben,
        It converts RGB to a different color format.But seriuosly dont have any idea on what CIE L*a*b means.

After you have posted with an attachment, clcik on the link to view it.

Copy that URL and go back and edit your post.

While editing, clcik that button that looks like mountains "Insert image" and then paste the URL into that dialog.

Close and submit your editied post.

Hi Ben,

If you are not involved into color image analysis, this vi is useless for you.

Apart RBG, there a number of standard ways to represent color. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_space

CIE L*a*b* is fairly popular where I work. So it would be nice if the tools proposed in IMAQ vision where bugfree...

You can also use Code Capture Tool to insert ur front panel or block diagram or both into ur post.... Its easy. Try it out.......
