Keeping a window modal?

Hi,
I'm trying to have a window come up on top of my other 4-5 windows, the problem being is that I want the other 4 to come up first and then the one in question to come up (modal) in the center of the screen, so to paint a beter pictuer imagine a 2by 2 grid where each of the otehr 4 windows takes up a square. So as of right now this 5th window just comes up and u can't see the rest of the 4 until you close it (since it modal), is it possible to be able to see the other 4 and have this one come up on top (being modal),
Alex

I would suggest a couple of courses of action on this issue.

First, experiment with the "modal" window mode in the VI properties. You may need to then combine this with the VI server to activate/open windows, though I don't think this will be necessary.

Another avenue to explore, though I STRONGLY recommend using it as a last resort (as it gives your window the status you seek IN WINDOWS, not just within the LabVIEW environment.) This is the lvwinutil.llb library that you can download from NI's website. I don't have the link handy, but if you search for "windows utilities" you will probably find it.
