Inserting active x controls

I am wanting to change the basic controls that labview has (the toggle switches, etc...) so they look like your microsoft controls that most people are use to seeing (the save button, open, etc...)  Does active x allow you to use those controls that microsoft has to do the same as if you added a toggle switch to save data?

You should check out the systems palette, it contains a lot of controls that follow the default OS style (buttons, tree, listboxes, radio-buttons).

What exactly do you mean by a 'toggle'? Do you mean a checkbox:

That's available in the System palette as well.

The Eyes on VIs blog focusses a lot on User Interface design.

I mean more like if you open work, you have the graphical buttons for save, print, open, etc....those style buttons.  The check boxes are ok, but IMHO, if I'm making a program for distribution, it tends to make the program look older than if I had graphical buttons.

You should check out the UI Interest Group. There you will find the "Missing" System Control Suite with a lot of graphical buttons.

And especially the Vista Pack, they have nice visual effects.

Agree, very nice....question now, how do I install it.  It is showing ogp?  Am I missing something?

No you're not missing anything obvious.
An OGP file is an install file that can be installed usint VI Package Manager.

Very nice icons. 

Got another question.  I installed it, but under my user lib on front panel, it is now showing up.  Is there a way to refresh or get this added?

It should automatically refresh (at least that is default for VIPM).

Perhaps is installing the Lava LIB UI tools the solution (link).
