How to remove the edges around text boxes on Front Panel layout

LOL@Ben

Looks like we high-jacked this thread by being star gluttons..  Oh well..  what's life without stars??

You guys should install Black Galaxy granite somewhere in your office. And shine an hallogen light to it..  with an NI logo nearby.. 😉

I agree with Shane.  Seems like such a simple task, but very deserving of 5 stars..  What other "tricks" are hidden in the secret LV vaults??

As for doing it programmatically, I'm sure that can be done as well using property nodes..

Can anybody play?Smiley Tongue

What's the  challenge exactly?

What do we win?

Are we allowed to use scripting?

Are we allowed to use one VI to modify another?

What's the  challenge exactly? Apply the transparent color to the 3D frame around string inicators (or other objects). Create a function to convert 3D objects into flat objects. Change 3D indicators into equivalent classic indicators...

What do we win? JLV embarassed consideration, a few more stars, apologies from NI developpers for not providinbg this basic function ?

Are we allowed to use scripting? YES

Are we allowed to use one VI to modify another?  YES

In that case, it's simple to cheat and replace it with a simple string. Obviously, this can be made cleverer to detect the selected control and so on...

Wish I had more time to visit the forum.

Been X-tremly busy lately..

Just wanted to let CC know that I had to use his trick to render the text box invisible.

Merci Monsieur!

It is useful!!
