How to read Serial Data from Arduino using labview VISA?

Already being discussed: Lock old threads.  And this one was only idle for ~1.25 years.  Not too bad considering some we have ran into.

And what is a "circuit picture".  Do you mean the VI with a block diagram?

As a followup to that comment - if you click on the "Options" to the side of a message you can choose the "Permalink" entry.

That will redirect you to the page with the message in some sort of focus.

Here's the block diagram, the VI in that post (RavensFan's, here) was saved in 2017.

The post a couple of posts earlier, by KnissM, had a more complicated "Gas Level.vi" which presumably was intended to solve the same problem.

The nodes in the block diagram are VISA Configure Serial Port, VISA Write, VISA Read, Decimal String to Number and VISA Close, for reference.

I would backsave it but I'm currently using a phone.

I did some cleaning up and saved in 2015.  Hopefully this works for you.
