I attached a VI that will probably guide you toward a solution for your specific need. It is saved in 6i. Basically what I assume from your question is that you want to get a set of points, let's say 10 points, scan the max value, the min value and the mean value, and plot those three points in the chart. I didn't do it for a data acquisition example because I don't know what kind of hardware or signal you are acquiring but I'm simulating that with a random number generator. In case of a data acquisition, you set the number of points to acquire in AI Read, so after receiving this data, you split that array so you can scan the Y value part of it as the same way I'm scanning my array of points in the example, then follow the same procedure to insert tho
se points in a Chart.
In case you want more customize style chart you should make a little programming to get this.
