Help with uninstalling

Having serious problems uninstalling LabView. It was originally installed on a hard drive which failed, so though the actual software had gone it had left behind all it's registry enties and system files.

I first tried to uninstall the software from add/remove programs but this wasn't possible. I then tried to install it again on another hard drive but the remenants of the program prevented the new install from working.

Since then I have attempted to manually remove all traces of the program from the system so that a new install can work. I have removed several registry entries, the directory in program files/common files and i think all the relevant files in system32 and system32/drivers.

Can someone provide me with a comprehensive list of all the files installed and where they are, along with any registry modifications the installation makes so that I can ensure I've completely removed it.

Or if there is such a thing as complete removal tool that does this automatically that would be better still!

I have heard of msiblast rather frequently around here to uninstall remnants such as in this thread

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=108288&query.id=113978#M108288

I would search the forum for msiblast and read through the posts to see if it may help your situation (I have never had to use it).

Good Luck

I have used MSI blast a lot in the past and it should take care of what you need. One thing I do not understand is that you said that you tried installing it on another hard drive but there was some remnents there how were there remnents on this drive that it would not let you install labview on a new drive.

Try selecting "change" instead of "remove". Worked for me. Doesn't make any sense.
