Hello,

does anybody know an (easy) way to save your initial measurement-setup (default or changed) to a file, and have the ability to reload this at a later time. (Necessary to do automatic measurements.) I did see an ini-file being produced by my executable but this doesn't seem to do anything.

Thank you, Afrim

The Measurement & Automation explorer has the capability of storing your measurement setup (virtual channels, gains, filters) into a .daq file. This setup can be programmatically loaded and unloaded with the "Set Default DAQ Configuration" VI.

There is a detailed KnowledgeBase article discussing this topic at:

My question was indeed about measurement-setups, but i meant it to be about initialization-files in general.
Anyway, thank you for the info, i guess i still have to learn how to ask questions on a (general) forum.
(And after looking in the help-file i also
found that in the file IO-palette there is a set of configuration-file-vis that fulfill all my wishes)

Hi, I've developed a couple of vi's that do what I think you are asking. I've put loads of screen shots of the software working at www.instrumentcontrols.co.uk
Have a look and see if it is what you are after.
