Generating PWM for MOSFET

Message contains an attachment

Hello everybody,

I want to know if it is possible to make a PWM signal with LabVIEW to control MOSFETs. My biggest Problem is the right hardware for this action. I would really appreciate any usefull Answers. Thank you for your time!

Thanks,

Grigory

P.S. the Datasheet of the MOSFETs are attached

What hardware you already have??? LabVIEW can only be used to control the PWM generation from right and compatible hardware, I've used M-series devices to generate PWM output, output in this case will be a TTL signal.

Refer to example attached here (go through complete topic for better understanding).

Thanks for your answer,

at the moment i am not using any Hardware we should buy new stuff for this Project. I was thinking about this http://sine.ni.com/ds/app/doc/p/id/ds-9/lang/de Module, since i read some other Posts about it. How usefull can this be? It should be able to work in kHz section. Also i need to able to set Duty Cycle and Period i prefer.

Re: Generating PWM for MOSFET

Just so that you know, you can also contact a Technical Sales Representative at your local branch if you have hardware related question before buying a product.

I am not really familiar with the datasheet of your MOSFET and thus I can not tell you if its good or not for it. What I can tell you is that the hardware you linked allows you to do some PWM with a TTL signal (meaning 0-5V). Would it be fitting your application?

Re: Generating PWM for MOSFET

Yes it would fit my Application, but i would like to know if it is able to vary period time of the PWM signal.

Thanks,

Grigory

Refer to example attached here and you should be able to vary the frequency and duty cycle as well...!!

Edited: Well, I must tell you, this code works good with any M, X series devices using DAQmx functions.
