GPS distance

Fellow associates of labview,

I am doing a test on signal strength.  In the test there is a remote unit that moves away from a starting location.  Currently I have a spectrum analyzer that is writing signal strength to a text file.  I would like to modify this code to also include the distance the remote unit is from the starting location using a GPS device.  I need hardware that I can communicate with via labview, any suggestions are appreciated.

Plenty of GPS modules around that can communicate via serial.

One example is the EM406A.

Labview can then read the serial output and decode the strings.
