Are we to the "LabVIEW" part of this discussion yet?  Maybe it's best moved to the Instrument Control (GPIB, Serial, VISA, IVI) board?

Yes.  You still need the LabVIEW driver so that you can talk to the instrument.  All we are recommending is using the Ethernet cable instead of a GPIB.  The driver won't care since it should be written with the VISA API which abstracts the actual communication bus from you.

I already told you that you needed NI-VISA. That is separate from the instrument driver.

You will need VISA as well (that normally just installs with LabVIEW).  But I was referring to something more like this: Tektronix TDS 3000 Series Oscilloscope Certified LabVIEW Plug and Play (project-style) Instrument Dr...
