FP wont download remotely behind firewall ( I think)

Hi,

There is this problem with a certain demo that we have been trying to put together for someone at Agilent in Colorado. Our LabVIEw based online distance lab system called ALTE here at the University of Hartford will not work properly over at their location. We have tested if from several locations here at the University and outide of it and it works fine. The system comprises a webpage embedded with a front panel of a VI that is connected to lab hardware. When the html link is clicked for it on the ALTE webpage, the webpage should come up with the panel embedded in it. The webpage comes up but the front panel will not. We think it might be something to do with the firewall that the Agilent person might be behin
d. So is there any thing you can think of for resolving this? Perhaps it might help us if you tried to launch the same thing from over there at Austin to see if it runs or not? Also, what I presume is that you have had this sort of problem before?

Thank you.

Tanuj.

First, make sure that the internet connection firewall is disabled (especially if Windows SP2 was recently installed) in the advanced tab of the properties window for the network connection. Then disable the network firewall and any antivirus software on the computer. Then they should be able to view the remote front panel fine.
