Thank you all for your answers! I spoke with the supervisors from school and it's okay if it is not an really executable... So, I don't need to spend more time in this part of the project!
However, I will connect the error nodes and place an indicator on the front panel. The state machine cannot be opened because I've 8.5 and not 8.6, but I saved the file and I will try to take a look if I have more time and a machine with 8.6!

That makes since too... The machine that you need to use has labview already installed on it anyways. You will like not having it as an executable too. Its nice because you can make programming changes on the
Something you might want to do since you are using 8.6: You can actually use the app controls to turn off the capablities of modifying the front panel. It nice since you can make accidental moves.

You're welcome Sebastian. See attached for 8.5 version. There is much to be said about architecture on these forums. (Another disclaimer [before others hammer me about using a string queue instead of enum bundled with variant]: This one is very basic.) Have fun!
