Have you tried one of the shipping examples? I do not think the FPGA is supposed to show up in MAX.

VI was working before I formatted the target and reinstalled the NI-RIO software. Now it says that it cannot connect with the FPGA device while I am connected to sbRIO and project files are deployed. The device is not in safe mode. Here is the list of installed software.

Sounds to me like an IP address problem. If you can still see it in MAX, what IP does it have, does it have the same one in the project? Can you ping it? Make sure your CPU IP is on the same subnet. This is super common when reformatting

IP adresses on the max and in the project are the same. Plus I can run VI's under the sbRIO target that use scan interface programming mode. Only VIs under the FPGA target generate those errors(-63192 and -63040).

Ah I see. I would normally then say that the driver is the problem, but from your screen shot it looks like the right driver was downloaded to the device so that's probably not it. I found this article for you, which has a couple other smaller corner cases it covers besides those. Do any of those apply to you?

Thanks for your help. The problem was with the software I installed on the RIO. After I reinstalled it stared working.
