Error Loading a VI

[SCI_1]

Hi All,

I am a newbie with LabView (ver. 9.0f3 - eval) and I am trying to open a project I received from a customer. When I try and open a certain VI I get the following pop-up error rmessage:-

"Missing file can_dll.ini"

I found several copies of this file but I have no idea what to do with it.

Any ideas as to how to resolve this?

Let's see. You are new to LabVIEW, are using the evaluation copy, have a project from a customer that uses NI-CAN and you have no idea about it? How did you get a customer?

In any case, you need to install NI-CAN. Not sure what you will do with it if you don't have any CAN hardware, though.

Not really. Having just returned to the ranks of LabVIEW consulting and knowing what our current customers ask for credentials, more curious than anything.
