EMPTY TASK BOXES

On one of our systems, running under win98 2nd edition we see a strange
thing:
in the taskbar there are empty tasks(-boxes), which disappear when
clicked, but stay otherwise for ever. I guess these are applications
closed before (?). We are running Labview and Labwindows/CVI on this PC.

Any hints?

I've noticed this on my 98 machine. One of my old screen savers used to leave behind an empty box everytime it closed. Some other apps. seem to do this from time to time as well. I think that it's just a minor bug in 98.

Looks like either NatInst or myself are blamed for writing unsafe code...
