Does labview 8.6 work with DDE?

I think it was due to be phased out and replaced by opc. Can you still dde within Labview?

Yes I still support a code with dde in labview 8.6, the palettes are gone but it still works.  If you can avoide dde then do that,  dde is very old.  I had no choice for using dde since it was the only method for communicating with an old external application.

I'm still using DDE with LV8.6  Got my fingers crossed as to how long it will be supported.
