I recently downloaded the DAQmx software onto my computer using the CDs. However, then I realized I needed to have actual LabView 8.5 to complete the exercises in  the "Introduction to LabView" courseware. So therefore, I downloaded the software for LabView 8.5. However, now when I try to complete the tutorial and look for the VI>>From Template>>DAQ>>Data Acquisition with NI-DAQmx.vi I cannot find such a path.

Is there anyone who could possible advise me on how to fix this? I am currently trying to run the Track B in the tutorial which requires no hardware, but rather will simulate it with the NI-DAQmx Driver Version 7.5 (which I do have on my computer).

You need to re-install DAQmx in order for it to include the LabVIEW VIs.

Dennis is correct.  You must install the drivers after the installation of the LabVIEW software in order for the proper VI to show up.  The following link has more information about the order of installation.
