Computer Hangs only when Ethernet is Connected

Working with: LabVIEW 2016, Datalogging and Supervisory Control, Realtime Module, VISA Driver, cRIO Driver

Issue: PC hangs on restart and shutdown only when connected to ethernet

Is there a way to get NI MAX to ignore my ethernet connection?

I solely need this installation for viewing data in Citadel DB hence the reason for the old LabVIEW version

I'd start by asking what steps you've taken that lead you to believe MAX is the issue.  Seems strange that it would cause hangs at the times you cite.

Wow thanks for the quick reply (I will definitely come back to this community for help)

After weeks of fighting this issue I believe I just figured it out, haha.

Solution: go into device manager and disable the WLAN driver. It seems LabVIEW/NI MAX doesn't like seeing two (W)LAN connections. Could also be a buggy WLAN driver, even though it's updated.

If anyone is curious on more info let me know but that's pretty much it
