I have three phase oil cooled Variable transformer( o/p 0-470VAC). i want to control the Voltage o/p of this Variac through Motor(Move the Variac stick) and Controller.please suggest some smart controller where feedback Voltage sense is available.
Motor Controller, control mechanism should be analog control(current or Voltage) or any serial communication, that can be done by Labview H/W and software.
i have single phase 240VAC,50Hz,60rpm,20kg-cm synchronous motor.
or
please suggest some best approach for this solution.

Good luck with that... We tried this years ago with a two phase variac that had a motor to turn it.
The main problems we had was controlling the overshoot, as the motor did not just "stop". So there was a delay between when we told it to stop turning and when it actually stopped turning, this delay was not constant either.
