Checksum calculation

I am looking for a possibility for checksum calculations of a LabView .vi.
Does anybody have experiences with checksum calculations in LabView?

Hi Mike,

last week there was the same question already in this forum.
You should type "checksum" in top row and "ask"-button - then you will be directed to discussion about this issue.
I took attached files from previous time.

HI Mike,

I was involved in that frenzy from last week.

We never did get around to answering your question.

You will have to open the VI as a data file. You can start with the examples that show you how to read a text file.

Take the returned string and type cast it to a an array of bytes.

At that point you can use the examples that Mike Porter posted to do your calculation.
