Can't connect to Keysight oscilloscope, please help

Solved!

Hi,

I am trying to connect to a Keysight Infiniivision DSOX2004A Oscilloscope using LabView, without success. I am using a GPIB-USB cable from keysight, with the appropriate driver installed (82357B), although the usb-usb port isn't working either.

I use Labview 17, with NI-VISA 17.0, NI-488.2-17 and DCD-May17 installed in a Windows 10 - 64bit machine.

When I open Labiew and try to find instruments connected (Scan for instruments), the Instrument finder fails to detect the oscilloscope. The device doesn't show in NI-MAX neither...

The Keysight software can see the device, which is connected in GPIB0::7::INSTR, but Labview can not see it.

If I open any .vi from the Labview drivers of this scope (Agilent 2000 3000 X-Series), and run the .vi, I get an error code VISA error code: 1073807346. I expected to have the device listed in the drop-down menu of the VISA I/O Resource, but it isn't there, it only contains "Refresh".

I have tried to install and reinstall the software and drivers many times, but I still can't connect with the device, I don't know what else I can do.

Any help or ideas would we highly appreciated.

Many thanks,

ElTitoFranki

I am using a GPIB-USB cable from keysight,

I had an Agilent USB-GPIB before and it needed the Tulip driver enabled to work

Open NI-MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer)

On the menu bar click on Tools---->NI VISA----->Visa Options

Select Passports from the tree under General Settings

Make sure NiVisaTulip.dll (Ni-VISA Passport for Tulip) is checked

Thank you very much!

Now NI-MAX detect the device, although Labview doesn't show it in the drop-down menus in VISA I/O Resource..

Any ideas why?

I am completely new to LabView.

I am now able to communicate via usb-usb cable, but only if I turn on the oscilloscope after I plug the cable.

Have you solved the communication problem with your Keysight oscilloscope?? I have the same problem, but with Keysight or Agilent DSO1024A. I can't acquire the channels waveform in the Labview.
