Unable to Mass Compile

I have LabVIEW  7.1.1 and I installed the LabVIEW Toolkit for LEGO Mindstorms NXT.

I don't have a file called Curr Dir. in the Labview\vi.lib\addons\NXTToolkit forlder.

I also looked for a file called MAX\Assistants\LvdgEN\lV71 . I don't have it eather.
this came from NI's help .

How do you Compile??
What did this old man do wrong.
Thanks

You would first navigate to the NXTtoolkit folder, then press [current folder], the button right below the [cancel] button. 🙂

Thanks for replying.

I don't have a [current folder] and no [ cancel] I have looked all over the NXTToolkit folder and it's not their.

I'm thinking that I must have loaded the programs wrong, but I can communicate with the NXT  brick over bluetooth.

I have none of the compile files?

All you need is the NXTtoolkit folder.

  1. Open LabVIEW
  2. Go to menu: "Tools....Advanced...Mass Compile".
  3. The Mass Compile tool will immediately open a file dialog as shown on the image. Browse to the NXTtoolkit folder and press the button in the lower right.

Thanks again

I have opened labview and under tools I do not have a  advanced or mass compile to click on.

so without being able to click on advanced I can't get to the screen you have shown me.

My NXTToolkit folder looks just like the one you have. but I can't get to it the way you did.

I am going by the instructions that follows.

Mass Compiling

To run this toolkit efficiently, you must mass compile the toolkit VIs in the version of LabVIEW in which

you installed the toolkit. Complete the following steps to mass compile the LabVIEW Toolkit for LEGO

®

MINDSTORMS

® NXT.

1.

Launch the version of LabVIEW in which you installed the toolkit.

2.

Select Tools»Advanced»Mass Compile.                __(((THIS IS WHAT I CAN'T FIND?????)))___Tools is their but  no     ADVANCED????

3.

Browse to the labVIEW\vi.lib\addons\NXTToolkit folder and select Curr Dir.

4.

Select Mass Compile to begin the mass compile process.

Note

Mass compiling the toolkit takes around 10 minutes on most computers.

Hope this helps you understand .

Thanks again

Maybe you should try to repair the LabVIEW installation, who knows what else is missing. :(. Did you originally install everything into its default location? Does LabVIEW work fine otherwise?

Here's my 7.1 menu for your reference:
