Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I want to install the Arduino Package for LabVIEW, but I cannot get VIPM to work. I already tried an old version I had from last year as well as the newest available. The installation process shows no errors, but when I want to start VIMP app, sometimes it get stucked at the initial windows "Loading..." but nothing happens. Sometimes a Windows message appears saying something like : " The program stopped working correctly because of an error. Windows will close the program and will notify if a solution exists"... But no error number or code appears. Does anybody experienced the same issue?
I already checked the VIPM forum, but it seems that no real solution has been given to this so far (Apparently quite a few people get the same problem). In that forum someone stated that might be an issue with the processor, but I cannot find any sense to that.
I'm using Windows 8 PRO 64 bits by the way and just in case, my processor is an intel i7-3630QM
Thanks for any comment you can provide. I'm sure this will help more than just me.
Best regards,
DMDSync.

Just to add some more info to this thread in case anyone needs it, I'm attaching some links to a couple of threads regarding this issue on the VIPM forum.
I couldn't fix the issue yet but I am able to use the LIFCK and LVIFA packages thanks to the help of Sammy_K.

So, your problem is not related to LIFA then, correct?

That's right, the problem is just using VIPM to download and install the LabVIEW packages.
Since there was not another "official" way to install LIFA I did it manually and it is all working fine so far.

SaintJohn,
I don't think this has been resolved. Can you post a MAX Technical Report so we can compare your system to DMDsync's.

Someone should probably start a thread on the JKI forums to get them to help out with this.

I'm will try in some minutes another VIPM.exe file to see if it fix the issue. I will let you know as soon as I can.

Ok. I assume you have the same system that I have (Windows 8 x64), so I will give you something you might want to try in order to solve the problem:
First you should download this file and replace the old VI Package Manager.exe with the one from the zip file ( It is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\JKI\VI Package Manager). After that, if you start VIPM, this windows might appear. I tried a couple of Run-Time Engine versions but the one that worked for me was the Run-Time Engine 2013 x32. I tried the RT Engine 2013 x64, because I thought it should match my Windows (x64), but apparently it has to match the LabVIEW (x32). You can find the RT Engine that I downloaded in this link.
I'll wait for your comments.
