The Sine Wave.vi (base) function generator allows you to generate a sine wave in software. You can specify inputs like frequency, amplitude, phase, and number of samples to create. The frequency input is in units of "cycles/sample" instead of "Hz". Some people don't always recognize this and have trouble getting meaningful data from the VI. It would be more obvious if the input were labeled "Frequency (cycles/sample)" instead of simply "Frequency".
