Hi all,

-Let me know if this idea exists of sometype.I did search and found no results. So posting here.

-Whenever we create an indicator for image wire from Block Diagram, it creates an indicator of type shown as Image Out(Not needed) and instead what generally needed is Image Out (Required).

-The work around now is to go to front panel again and change the indicator to required one(Not possiible from Block Diagram).

-How about making the Required Image Indicator/Display as default??

Thanks

Your suggestion makes sense, but I wonder whether the Image indicator to the right is available in the default LabVIEW release (not including the Vision toolkit). On the other hand, the image structure that you show to the left is included whenever you install some IMAQ drivers.

In other words, it seems to me that the default choice works fine in any situation (Vision or no Vision) but would need to be modified whenever a user doesn't have Vision installed. I may be wrong and in any case, have no objection with your proposition.

In a sense, you are asking something like the behavior of the Histogram.VI:

ScreenHunter_001.jpg which gives this type of indicator: ScreenHunter_002.jpg

I would personally prefer to have this(!):

ScreenHunter_003.jpg

A simple workaround is obviously to modify the output indicator of the offending VI as it is really what is copied when you choose "Create Indicator"...
