Easy resize of structures created with a double-click.

Status: New

It would be nice, if you could resize a structure to a minimum (a small padding should be left over) with simply double-klicking on these small blue "resize-squares". It should function with every "resize-square".

If some had their ways, we would have an option to prevent hiding of any objects anywhere in a structure.

If that were implemented, you could easily obtain what you wish by dragging the corner of the structure until it got stuck due to the no-hiding rule prevented you from going further. Just playing the devil's advocate, since I am hiding stuff all the time (in particular using structures)...

As a matter of fact, I realized that if you have autogrow turned on (which I never have unless I inherit a VI with some structures with this option on), then shrinking the structure from opposite corners will do (sorta) what you want:

Notice how different that is from your "minimum" picture. The result actually depends on the order of the corners you use to shrink the structure, and of course the minimum minimorum is not generally what a human being would find natural. But why should NI's algorithm care about this kind of details?

Hence my comment about the devil in the detail of the implementation...
