Digital image correlation

I considering the use of Digital Image Correlation (DIC) in our rock properties testing laboratory. We use LabVIEW quite extensively in our lab. I found an earlier thread saying it was not currently available in LabVIEW but to bring it up @ NI Idea Exchange.

However, it seems nothing was brought forward. Is this something that might get further attention or have I missed some more recent developments? The links below have piqued my curiosity.

Incorporation of DIC algoritms in Labview would be a very good idea!

We are currently using DIC (VIC and MatchID) quite succesfully to follow up displacements and strains in thermoformed polymer sheets.

NI provides all possible hardware for the image acquisition and allows for an easy synchronisation with all kinds of other data from the thermoforming process. Unfortunately, since DIC algorithms are not yet available in Labview we have to use one of the external software packages for the DIC part. The interface bewteen Labview and the external (sometimes black box) software packages makes this a very difficult task.

Hi everybody,

I acually looking for the same but i don't know which PXIe instrument is compatible for DIC method.

Thank you,
