A comment node that did not affect dataflow was explicitly discussed during the design of the Diagram Disable structure and was rejected for the general understandability of the LV diagram. Structure nodes imply sync boundaries and introducing a structure that did not serve as a sync boundary created confusion in some people when we initially sketched it out.

It would be nice to have the possibility to draw comment-like areas on the BD to surround specific code so it is fixed with in this area and exclude the code from program cleanup and adds a label to comment. While using Diagram Disable Structures I change the dataflow and to prevent this a "RubberPad" without tunnels could help.
