gpib

hi!

I've a problem with the communication between a dynamic signal analyser (SR 785 stanford)  and the computer.
I've the demostration version of labview 8.0 and Measurement aquisition manager. The adquisition card is "Agilent technologies 82350 PCI GPIB" from HP.
With the program HP- vEE 5.0 the communication (GPIB) works perfectly, and the computer is capable to read and show the data of the dynamic signal analyser.
But MAX does not recognize the card. In the system configuration, in the subdirectory peripherics and interfaces, there is not the file named GPIB. When I try to configure the card the program demands me the primary adress of the card. How i can know the adress of my card? It can be a driver problem? where  i can find the correct driver for my card?

thank you

Normally, you could not see or configure a non-NI board in MAX. Afterall, it's an NI confguration utility and you couldn't configure an NI board with an Agilent configuration utility. However, there is a way with an Agilent board. See some of the links I give at http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=140&message.id=18479#M18479

By the way, once you have the Agilent board recognized in MAX, you have to use the VISA functions in LabVIEW. You cannot use the lower level GPIB functions because they are for NI boards only.
