communication of NI 488 GPIB-PCI with matlab7.0

The tmtool in matlab 7.0 cannot detect NI 488 GPIB-PCI card.

I installed version 2.5.2 for GPIB-PCI card.

From last years post, it has something to do with the matlab driver,

has anyone has the detailed solution to this problem?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Charlie,

Can you detect the PCI-GPIB card and the find the device in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)?  If you cannot see the card in MAX, you will need to update the driver.  If you cannot find the device when you scan for instruments, it may mean that the communication is down or the instrument does not recognize the *IDN? command.  For this take a look at our KnowledgeBase article on Scanning for Instruments.

If the communication is working fine in MAX, then you may need to contact Mathworks for specific support of the programming tools you are using.
