Parallel port accessing

Hi ,
I am trying to access the parallel port and use it as a general purpose I/O , i used VISA  , but it only access 8 bits (pin 2->9) and pins 11 , 12 must be grounded.

I want to use the pins from (1 to 17) as Inputs and outputs.

I am using labview 16.
Thank you.

Hi andr3s ,
Thank you for your effort.
I already checked this link and tried the first method which is great but it only output signal from 2 to 9, so I can't get input to the system.

The second and third methods use an old VIs which not supported by my LabVIEW 16.

and thank you again for your effort

You should be able to change the property node from write to read in order to read the data bits from the printer port.
