Hi Dave,
I have attached the pages from the Operations Manual about the connections to the chamber.
Hope that will help you.

I have problems with VT4010, i have the manual but i'm not sure about the commands, eg $00I<cr> --> read chamber, but i get not response, i'm sure that the configuration is OK......
I'm trying to communicate through Labview, by using serial interface RS232 and ASCII strings.

When I get back to work next week I'll post my latest Heraeus VIs. These control both the older and the new oven controllers. They might work for you. Even if they don't they might give you some clues as to getting yours going.
Regards, GGT.

Hello all,
I had problems with VT 4010, the problem was only that in the user manual was not write the wiring of RS232 25Pin to 9Pin.
The wiring is the following:
25Pin --> 9Pin
2 ---> 2
3---> 3
7---> 7 (NOT 2 with 3 and viceversa).

Hi All
I am trying to control VT 7004 through LabVIEW
As the first step we made DB9-DB25 adapter as in the attached DB9-DB25 Adapter diagram
After that we tried with the heraeus VI's given in this topic, it seems no communication is going with chamber
i have few doubts
1) is the DB9-DB25 cable i made as shown in the fig is correct?
2) In the VI it is mentioned that we have to press "EXT" switch on the chamber for remote control from PC
could i use these configure, setconstant and tempdwell VI's for VT 7004
Thanks
Pradeep

KC - Any chance you could scan the basic operating instructions for the Heraeus Votsch HC 4030 Humidity chamber ?
Cheers
