Can i use the "serial break function (Visa or Compatible)" with a PCI-485 Board ?

I need a "RS232" datastream with 8N2 at 250k Baudrate for a RS485n Interface (DMX512). The Problem is i need a "serial Break" at the start of the datastream. So i want do know if it is possible to send a "break signal" with the PCI-485 like i do it with my normal "Uart - built in Rs232 in my PC".

Any serial communication that the UART controls (stop bits, data bits, breaks, etc.) will be the same between NI's RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces. As for other brands, I don't see why serial break wouldn't be supported, but you would have to verify that with the manufacturer.
