I am a programmer on First Team 2130 Alpha Plus and I am having connection issues with our Robo Rio. The Robo Rio is unable to connect to the computer. The Rio Imaging Tool cannot find the Robo Rio when plugged in over USB. Driver Station cannot find the Rio when plunged in via USB. When attempting to communicate to the Robo Rio over WIFI through a radio, I am able to connect to the radio but not communicate to the Robo Rio. The Rio has a green power status light and an orange RSL light. All the other status lights are off, including Status, Radio, Comm, and Mode. The team number in DS is correct and the radio has the correct Team number.
What I have Tried. I have tried using multiple different USB cables. I have successfully connected to an older Rio on a previous year's robot. I have tried using safe mode on the Rio. I have tried restarting my computer. I have tried using a different computer with NI game tools. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the NI game tools. I have tried disconnecting everything on the robot except the Rio and its power source.
The Robo Rio does not appear on Windows 11 Device Manager when plugged in. I cannot get a ping on the Rio because my computer doesn't seem to know it even exists. The Rio was working correctly about 3 days ago and upon rebooting the robot 2 days ago, I encountered the communications issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, AlphaPlus, thanks for posting on the forums. I'm Matthew with NI.
Is this the original roboRIO (shows a "National Instruments" and LabVIEW logos and says "roboRIO"), or a v2 (shows an "NI" logo and says "v2")?

This is an original Robo Rio. Serial Number 317B6EA. Part Number 155213F-01L

Since you've already tried safe mode, can you try resetting the device to factory image?

I reached step 8 of the instructions on the link you provided. After releasing the reset button when the status light is solid (USB drive is in the port with the config file) the Rio status light begins flashing repeatedly. I am using a 32 GB drive which is the smallest drive I have. Should I try to use the SD card method mentioned below in the instructions?

Any of the options under step 8 may work (unfortunately, due to tight constraints on the timing, it's a bit of a try until you find one that works).

I have tried many times (more than 20) with both a flash drive and an SD card to USB adapter. Every attempt led to the repeated flashing of the Status LED. I don't have an externally powered USB hub so I was not able to try that option.

Our options at this point are to keep trying more USB drives, or to RMA the device. Which would you like to do for now?

I have tried multiple different USB drives and none of them have worked. I would like to RMA the device. What would I need to do to proceed with this process?

I sent an email to the address listed on your profile to get that started.
