I am a mentor attempting to help another team learm programming this year. We have installed LabView2021 and the FRC 2022 game tools on their team's programming PC. When we launch LabView2021, we do not see the FRC splash page; nor do we see the WPI Library, etc.
I followed the advice from this post: https://forums.ni.com/t5/General/FRC-LabVIEW-2022-Install-Issue/m-p/4201367 We downloaded LabView 2020; followed by installing the 2022 FRC Game Tools. When we launch LabView 2019, we do not see the FRC splash page; nor so we see the WPI Library, etc.
We have also tried to use the NI Package Manager> Repair FRC Game Tools option with no success. We need some help as we're less than 2 weeks away from their first comptetion.
Solved! Go to Solution.

You'll want to install from the two FRC links. The LabVIEW Software for FRC 2022 will include the correct versions of LabVIEW as well as all of the required drivers and modules. The installer can be found here: https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview-software-for-frc.html#...
For what it's worth, it's built on LabVIEW 2020 SP1 so I wouldn't expect a LabVIEW 2021 installation to show the FRC Game Tools. I'd always encourage using the LabVIEW Software for FRC suite as it gets you everything you need and minimizes the chance something will be missed.

We've downloaded the LV and the FRC Game tools from the website https://www.ni.com/en-us/landing/first.html on both of their teams' machines. Having the same issue on them both.
I downloaded LV and FRC Game tools from the exact same website. Everything runs great on my laptop.

Sorry for the delay. I was out at an event this weekend.
Try uninstalling rather than repair. In doing so, you'll get the full list of options again to install. My best guess is the "LabVIEW Update" option was accidentally unchecked while installing the Game Tools if both suites were downloaded from the FRC landing page.

If this is still a problem, here is what I have had the teams I support do:
1. If there is old/past years robot code on the computer make sure it is all backed up
2. Uninstall all versions of LabVIEW. (make sure to select everything)
3. Check the Add Remove Programs and remove anything "NI", "NI Package Manager", "National Instruments", "VI Package Manager". (sometimes this takes a few re-boots to get everything)
4. Install using the Install Offline button from the NI pages.
I will be at the Shawnee, OK regional this week. If you are there I can help then.
Let us know if you get this issue resolved. I have run into a few odd issues this season.

Our Labview now will not let us use the dropdown menus to change PWM or motor controller type. We have uninstalled, cleared all NI residual files out of the registry and reinstalled, we have checked and made sure we have the NI tool auto-select turned on, we have tried with it turned off using the tab key. We can see input in the driver station from the joysticks, we have tried moving the PWM cable to other pin positions and tried SPARKS, Victor SPX and Tallon SRX controllers with no motor signal. We can image the Rio, all lights appear to be working, we can set up CAN and get the greenlights or red lights with no CAN. So we assume the Rio is still good, any more thoughts or ideas?
We have rebuilt a new code from scratch using FRC 2022.

Can you post a zip of your code (and a screenshot in case things appear different on your PC) to a new thread in this forum: https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Code-Questions/bd-p/LabVIEWCodeQuestions
Let's keep this thread focused on helping the OP get the Game Tools to appear in their installation.

It is a new Dell XPS laptop that has never had LabView on it before. We have had to uninstall everything once already because the Game Tools showed up as corrupt and it did take several attempts and some manual searching through the registry to find all the NI related files to get back to zero. It looks like a good 2022 build and it will image the Rio via ethernet, wireless and UBS, but won't give power through input movement.
We attend the Arkansas Regional this year in Searcy March 30th - April 2nd and as of now we are at a dead stop. We even rebuilt a dummy bot from all new parts PDP, VRM, new fuses, wiring harness and used a brand new CIM motor as a test bed, and we cant get joystick control to initiate motor movement. The code is stuck displaying a Victor SPX on PWM 0 and we have wired up that configuration as well as physically cycling through all PWM pins. Two years ago the PMW controls seemed to assign random pins to code identified PWM locations so we just cycled all combinations 0-9.

Please provide the requested information in the requested location.
Those are the things we'd need to help troubleshoot. This thread isn't about the problem you're running into and you're adding to confusion by jumping in with a different situation.

Thank you. We uninstalled every NI software item that had a year prior to 2021. We un-installed the FRC tools as well. Once we re-installed LV and the FRC Tools, it finally worked! Thanks for recommending we uninstall rather then repair! We were able to get the kids' computer up and running. They were able to finish the robot just in the nick of time for their competition on Friday 3/11/22.
