Simulated temperature undershooting

Hello all,

Apologies if this is a basic question, but I'm just getting started with flex logger. I'm trying to simulate a temperature reading so that I can build a basic test panel without the hardware being plugged in. I have set up a simulated temperature signal with a single k-type thermocouple, and set the temperature range between 0C and 20C which is arbitrary at this point. My confusion is that the temperature sine wave simulated does rise to 20C, but falls well below the bottom 0C threshold, going down to < - 50C.

This feels like some obvious setting, configuration I don't have in place but I'm really struggling to solve. I've tried delegating the channel, the simulated DAQ, fresh Flexlogger project etc. and still no luck. If anyone does have advice that would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks,

Will

NI-DAQmx simulated devices always return a sine wave of 1V, regardless of signal range setting. Depending on the module model, the conversion to temperature results in the fixed amplitude you are seeing. This is by design.
